Inspiration story
Whales are the largest marine creatures which have advanced intelligence and emotions. Scientists recorded their singing and were surprised to find complex rhythms and themes.
In 1977, American astronomer Carl Sagan included the singing of humpback whales recorded in Bermuda into the Golden Record, along with greetings in 55 human languages and music from all over the world.
